Who should use Worktiger.com?

WorkTiger users fall into two groups:
  • Service providers (Contractors etc)
  • Consumers (Home Owners etc)
WorkTiger is designed to bring these two groups together. Anyone who uses or provides services will find WorkTiger helpful.



What are the advantages of using WorkTiger.com?

Our mission is to connect consumers with low-cost, high-quality service providers, and to offer service providers greater access to their target market. As a customer you will:
  • Post jobs, and use all services for free - always.
  • Get the best deals from neighborhood service providers based on cost and previous customers review ratings.
  • Search for service providers based on postal code.
  • Receive information about service providers by viewing customer reviews and the provider's web page, which describes their area of expertise and contains references.
  • Read, write reviews and rank the service providers that you employ.



Who are the typical work providers that can be found through WorkTiger?

They consist of small and medium-size businesses, self-employed individuals, retirees, students, people looking for extra income, people between jobs, etc.


How can I know that a certain individual or company is qualified to complete the work?

WorkTiger has an efficient method of allowing customers like you to give feedbacks on the service providers. Higher WorkTiger ratings and more jobs completed through WorkTiger should increase your confidence level. Ultimately, though, it is your responsibility to verify that they have the commitment, tools, and skill level to complete the work.


How can I track the status of jobs I have listed?

Each job you list is assigned a unique Job Number and all WorkTiger activity related to this job can be found under My Work Listings after you log-in. You can view/change the details of your listing, view all emails sent and received related to a particular job, see which WorkTiger providers have viewed your listing and requested Contact Information, and easily access User Feedback/Ratings on those providers.


What does the "Things To do" list on the dashboard do?

Things To do list is a place, where WorkTiger can notify you for important actions/request. For example, when a service provider request for a review, you will see a Things To do item to provide review for the service provider.


Can I see, how many times my work was seen?

Yes. You can see that in your "Work Details" page.

What are the advantages of using WorkTiger.com?

Our mission is to connect consumers with low-cost, high-quality service providers, and to offer service providers greater access to their target market. As a service provider you will:
  • Avoid expensive advertisement costs provided by traditional advertisement channels such as The Yellow Pages, newspapers, and bulk mailings.
  • Know the demand of your service within a radius of operation based on postal code.
  • Enjoy online interaction with customers and service to establish relationships and business leads.
  • Facilitate positive growth based on reviews by customers.
  • Have free advertisement online - Every service provider can create his/her own web page describing their services offered and other important questions related to the service offerings, previous customer review about the service provider. (the service will be free until April 2009, at which time there may be a small monthly fee - more to come)
  • In future, be notified immediately of available work within the area via email.



How do I get started?

First, you need to register. During registration, you will be asked to select which work area(s) you are interested in (painting, plumbing, landscape, etc.), and your radius of operation.
You can then log-in to WorkTiger, view the work details, request contact information and begin the negotiation process, if interested.
In the future WorkTiger will automatically send you emails when work are listed that meets your preferences.



My service specialty is not listed in WorkTiger. Can I use the site?

If your service is not listed on the available job categories, contact us at support@worktiger.com. We are always willing to add services. We will respond to you within 24 hours.


How can I be the successful candidate on more jobs?

All things being equal most people listing work on WorkTiger will accept the lower bids. However, price is not the only criteria consumers look for. Doing quality work and obtaining a higher WorkTiger rating influences the choice of selecting a service provider.


If I complete a job through WorkTiger, how can I initiate the rating process?

As a service provider, you can initiate the request for review. Look for the work through the normal work search. On the search result screen you will see a link to request reviews. We advise you to always add interested jobs in your Favorites, so that you can request reviews directly from you dashboard.


If I complete a job through WorkTiger, how will the person listing the work rate me?

We strongly encourage consumers who get work completed through WorkTiger to complete a short review.
The consumers will review and rate a service provider on the three listed category.
  • Price: Was the price of the service reasonable?
    1 - unreasonable 5 - extremely reasonable

  • Quality: Did you receive a quality service?
    1 - poor quality of service 5 - excellent service provided

  • Customer Service: Did the service provider deliver the service as promised? Did you feel that your needs were met? Was the service provider on time? Did the job last much longer than expected? Did the service provider have a positive attitude? Would you recommend this service provider to a friend?
    1 - customer service was horrible 5 - customer service was great, I would recommend this service provider to anyone



How can I save work to my Favorites list?

When you search for work, and you are logged in to the WorkTiger site, then you can select on work in the search result section for adding the work to the Favorites.


What are the benefits of saving an interested work in my Favorites list?

1. Once you save your job in Favorites, you can always go into the respective job with a single click of the mouse.
2. You can request for review, without searching for the jobs.



What does the "Things To do" list on the dashboard do?

Things To do list is a place, where WorkTiger can notify you for important actions/request. For example, when you register with WorkTiger, you will see a Things To do item to update your Company Profile.


How can I initiate a request for review?

You have two options

Option 1: If you have saved the work previously to your Favorites, look for the work in your Favorites list and there would be a link present to request a review.

Option 2: Login to the WorkTiger, search for the Work in your postal code, when the search results comes, you can select on the request review link.

Future Upgrade: You will have the ability to search for work by entering the Work ID. Once the search is successful, you will be shown that details about the work. At this page, you can request a review.



Why can't I write reviews?

Service Providers are not allowed to write reviews, since this will violate our policy and do injustice to WorkTiger community. Reviews and Ratings can only be written by Customer (Home Owners etc) who have eligible work opened/closed.


Can I see, how many times my company details were viewed by the customers?

Yes. You can see these details in your "My Company Details" Page.
